Cont. blind-stamped pigskin over wood, spine on 4 raised bands titled in ink, edges bevelled inside, metal clasps and catches, leather tabs, 5 cloth markers tied in a knot at top (sl. soiled). Good copy.
Rare Plantin octavo missal with woodcuts: ill. with St. Peter and St. Paul on title, and 6 full-page, 7 half-page and 2 smaller illustrations. The space for the half-page ill. on p. 517 is left blank. The full-page woodcuts are signed P.B. A.VL., referring to Assuerus van Londerseel who did woodcuts after P. van der Borcht. Entirely printed in red and black, in 2 cols. Ref.
