Cont. marbled calf, gilt orn. spines on 5 raised bands (some min. def. at heads), red leather title labels, speckled edges, marbled endpapers. Nice set.
First editions of these 3 works by the Belgian physician and botanist N.J. Necker (1730-1793), all in a uniform binding. "The original edition of the "Elementa botanica" was published at the same time as the "Corollarium" and the "Phytozoologie philosophique". The three publications were sold together but were also obtainable seperately" (Stafleu & Cowan). Illustrated with an author's portrait and 64 engr. pls (incl. 11bis, 13bis, 14bis, 25bis, 41bis, 52-54bis and 45ter). ''Traité vraiment unique et original dans son genre.
