Lot description
Large folio: [6]-56 pp.; 25 pl. (foxing, marg. dampstains).
Cont. red three-quarter shagreen, marbled paper covers orn. with a gilt roll-stamp, gilt orn. spine on raised bands with roll-stamps (rubbed, scratches).
Illustrated with 20 plates (19 collotype pl. and 1 chromolithograph), 5 plates showing coats-of-arms and 21 ills in the text. The architect Del Moro (1845-1897) was a student of Emilio De Fabris, who appointed him his assistant for the works of the facade of the cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (or Duomo). At De Fabris' death, Del Moro took over the direction of the works. The facade was finished in 1887.
