8vo oblong, manuscript on paper, c. 10,7 x 16 cm, 47 ff. (+ 12 blanks).

Richly gold-tooled cont. red morocco, covers with gilt initials "H.V.R." and date "1794" and ornamental frames with corner pcs and oval inlaid central green morocco, spine on 4 raised bands, gilt sides, a.e.g., marbl. endpapers, kept in its original gilt morocco slipcase box (sl. rubbed and warping, sm. def. to box). In very good condition.

Nice album amicorum from the late 18th c. (the Batavian republic). With on the front flyleaf the name of its owner, Henriette van Roÿen (1777-1836), the future wife of Hendrik Boellaard (1770-1847). With contributions (almost all of 1794) from Noordwijk, Harderwijk, Amsterdam, Deventer, Rotterdam, The Hague, Zwaanwijck. A few small drawings (at least 1 removed).
