Restored with orig. binding preserved: old marbled leather pasted on covers and spine, red edges.

Later ed. (1st 1762), complete with an engr. title by Prevost after Monnet and all the maps, all but 1 hand-coloured according to the "Table", i.e. a pl. with "Globes et sphères" (not coloured), a world map, 4 continent maps (Europe, Asia, Africa and America), 21 relating to Europe, 2 to Asia, 2 to Africa, 3 to America and 2 to the Holy Land. Conceived as a map guide to Nicole de la Croix's "Geographie moderne" in a convenient format to meet the demands of the public.
