Lot description
Pencil, grey ink and wash, 27,3 x 21,2 cm, laid paper, signed, dated, ms. note on verso "Souvenir de L Grootaers de Nantes" (few sm. creases on edges).
The sculptor Louis Grootaërs (1788-1867) was born in Mechelen, but is mainly known for his contributions to the Cathedral of St Peter and St Paul in Nantes.
