Survey of Flanders by the historian Marchant (1537-1609), dedicated to Archduke Albert. It contains an extensive geographical and historical description of the County of Flanders (agriculture, crafts, political and religious organisation etc.), a survey of towns i.a. Oudenaarde, Aalst, Bruges, Kortrijk, Douai, Dunkirk, Ghent, Harelbeke, Hulst, Nieuwpoort, Ostend, Ronse, Sluis, Dendermonde, Tournai, Ypres, and a history of the Counts of Flanders up to Philip II.
