Contemp. gold-tooled mottled calf, covers with large gilt arms, richly gilt spine with raised bands and morocco label, marbled edges. Very good copy.

Amsterdam ed. of a Jesuit poetical textbook by P. Aler (1656-1727).

Prov. Splendid Breda prize binding with the large gilt arms of the princes Willem IV & V on front cover (with the devices "Honi soit qui mal y pense" and "Je Maintiendrai") and the Breda arms on lower cover; ref. Spoelder (Breda) 2 and 3. - Pauw van Wieldrecht, Dutch patrician family (collector’s stamp).
