Hinged at upper edge. Under passe-partout.

First state with the date of the privilege "1590" still present. With inset map of ancient Walcheren and NW-Flanders. Extracted from the 1598 French "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum" (leaf 45, no pagination). This map succeeds the renowned ovoid map of Flanders (see lot 571).
