3 pts in 2 vol., 4to; 8 pl. and 1 tabl. (text n.c., some spotting, table of contents loose in vol. II).

Contemp. calf, boards decorated with blind roll-stamps and gilt fillets, blind- and gilt-orn. spines with raised bands, marbled edges matching endpapers (sl. rubbed, joints splitting, shelf-mark label on one spine and one pastedown).

First edition. Illustrated with Evelyn's portrait, 4 other portraits incl. his wife Mary, 3 plates (2 fold.) and one fold. genealogical table of the Evelyn family.
