Lot description

2 parts in 1 vol., 8vo: [18]-287-[1 bl.], 370-[2] pp. (missing title 2nd part, but used as title for the first part altering "seconde" to "premier").

Contemp. calf, gilt-orn. spine with raised bands, sp. edges (corners sl. bumped, joints rubbed and starting to split).

First French translation of "Heelkonstige ontleeding" (1718) by the Flemish physician J. Palfijn (1650-1730). Ill. with an engr. headpiece by J.-B. Scotin depicting the coat of arms of the dedicatee, Count Jules Visconti Borromeo, and 40 full-page anatomical pl.
