4to: [6]-191-[2] ff. (dampstaining throughout, some sm. def. like sm. holes or tears touching some words, cancellation on p. 14 in the right col. and on the entire p. 15, also on left col. of p. 167 with funny doodling, text on p. 190 crossed through with ink).

Contemp. sheep, spine with raised bands (covers soiled and shaved, bands rubbed).

The first volume (of 10) of the rare "Gesambtausgabe" of Augustine. The first volume includes books on grammar, dialectics, rhetoric, music and important texts such as "De vera religione", "De immortalitate animae", "De moribus ecclesie catholicae" and "De genesi contra Manichaeos". Title-vign. hand-coloured. Printed in 2 col.
