Folio, 44,5 x 28 cm: [2]-79-[7] pp., brown and red ink on strong laid paper (numerous old marginal repairs and reinforcements with white cloth without loss, marg. soiling, some (water) stains, marg. wormtracks on last ff.).

Contemp. calf on wooden boards, gilt fillets and rolls frames on boards, four wooden covered with brass bosses on each side, filleted spine with double raised bands, two brass clasps and cornerpieces (us., gildering faded, scratches, large tear on spine, head missing, 4 bosses and 2 cornerpieces missing).

Songs for the offices of Holy Week and Easter Day, followed by the Lamentations of Jeremiah, traditionally sung at matins on Holy Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The scores, in square neumatic notation on four-line staves characteristic of Gregorian chant, are written in red ink for the staves and brown ink for the neumes. The work was copied by a member of the Franciscan community of Boetendael. Enriched with a smaller bifolium score by the same hand: "Sequentia pro defunctis".
