First French translation of this important genealogical work presented to the young prince Balthasar-Charles, son of Philip IV, as a memorial to the seniority of his lineage and as a series of examples to follow. In the 1st part, the 22 genealogical tables are accompanied with 128 copper-engr. full-pages representing more than 600 seals or counterseals of the princes designated in the text by an asterisk and one full-page illustrating the coats of arms depicted on the seals of the House of Flanders, with the exception of those appearing on the seals of the counts. The 2nd part of first volume is composed with the "Preuves". The second volume containing the 2nd part of the genealogy and the "preuves", is illustrated with the portrait of the author de Wree (1596-1652), historian and Neo-Latin poet. The 2 title-vignettes bear the effigy of Philip IV.
