First edition, complete with the Appendix. In 1811, the Accademia della Crusca was re-established and received the mission to revise the Italian dictionary. As Monti (1754-1828), poet, famous for his translation of the Iliad, one of the greatest interpreter of Italian neoclassicism, was not involed in the revision, he published this work with some corrections and additions to the Crusca's vocabulary.
