Very rare, original edition of a lesser known work by the German alchemist, physician, and counsellor to Rudolf II Habsburg, M. Maier (1569-1622), in which he explains the healing properties of gold. Dedicated to Maurice the Learned, Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel (1572-1632).
