Extremely rare first edition of this humanist history of Brabant up to Charles V, written by the Leuven professor Van Baerland (1486-1542), pioneer during the humanist movement in the Netherlands. Concerning a.o. the foundations of the Parc abbey by Godfrey the Bearded and of Leuven University in 1425, the passage of a comet in 1472, the fire at the Premonstratensian monastery and library in Middelburg in 1492 and the Joyous Entry of Philip the Handsome into Leuven in 1504.
