Etching, 35,9 x 47,2 cm, laid paper, signed "Antonius Tempesta inventor." and "I.C.G.f. / CJVisscher Excudebat.", numb. 8, Latin text (trimmed on platemark, sm. part missing, few spots, hole).

Laid down on paper. Hinged at upper edges, under passe-partout.

N. 8 (of 8) from a series on "The story of Scipio Africanus". Originally published in Antwerp by Pieter de Jode I c. 1620. 2nd state with the address of Claes Jansz. Visscher.
