Black ink, charcoal, 31,3 x 49,3 cm, wove paper (few spots and creases, edges frayed).
François Anneessens (1660-1719) was an important dean of the Brussels guilds. Deemed responsible for the uprisings related to the limitation of the power of the guilds, he was executed on the Grand Place.
