18th-c. sheep, gilt arms on covers, gilt gauffered edges (worn, loosening, gilding soiled). Apart from the binding a good copy.
Early edition (1st 1549) of a treatise on the preservation of health by the Alsatian physician Georg Maler (1500-1569). With chapters on food, wine, sex etc. Woodcut mark at the end. Printed in italics. Ref. VD-16 P-2722. - Durling 3634. - STC German (BL) 696. - Not in Adams, Wellcome. Prov. "Mart: ab Haccuria" (old name on title). - Probably an 18th-c.
