Lot description
Pencil, brown ink, grey wash, 30,5 x 19,0 cm, laid paper with watermark (crowned shield with fleur-de-lys and R) (few sm. tears on edges, few spots, few creases).
With a paper flap at the top with an alternative design. Similar designs by the Belgian sculptor Laurent Delvaux (1696-1778) are in Brussels (Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, inv. 10250, 10252).
