First edition of the lessons taught by the French architect Blondel (1705-1774), Professor at the Academy of Architecture and contributor to the Encyclopédie. The vol. V and VI were written by the engraver and architect Pierre Patte (1723-1814). Illustrated with 377 plates, some fold. or on double-page (incl. the 40bis in pt. III and 39bis in pt. IV), engr. by N. Ransonnette, Sellier, Michelinot, etc., after Fournera, Helin, Bouvet, etc.
