2 parts in 1 vol., obl. 4to: [8]-454-[2 bl.], 382-[10] pp. (lvs I/T1-2 bound after T3-4, pl. p. I/223 upside down, pl. pp. I/431 and II/301 mounted, some pl. in lighter impression, some sm. marg. stains, rust hole in the margin of p. I/105, upper right corners pp. 17-19 missing without lack in text or ill., brown stains to upper margins pp. I/62-68).
Contemp. Dutch vellum, flat spine. Complete copy in fine condition.
Latin translation from the original Dutch edition "Afbeeldinghe, ende beschrijvinghe van alle de veldslagen, belegeringen [...] ghevallen in de Nederlanden [...]" (Amsterdam 1615) by the Flemish theologian and historian Baudartius from Deinze (1565-1640). It consists of a narration of the 1559-1615 wars in the Low Countries. Ill. with an engr. front. and 285 full-page engravings figuring views of cities, battles and battlefields, tortures, executions, portraits etc. The ill. are identical in the Dutch, French and Latin editions.
