Collection of 63 drawings for the weekly magazine "Mon Copain".

Black ink, grey and purple wash, 11,1 x 26,8 to 39,0 x 29,5 cm, wove paper, ms. notes in pencil and ink (some pl. sl. soiled, some edges sl. browned, sm. creases, paper clip traces).

Beautiful plates characterized by a very good technique intended for publication in the Belgian weekly "Mon copain", a magazine on movies and stars published from the 1930s to the 1950s. The female character Rosamonde seems to be inspired by Ava Gardner and a few pl. are probably from the series "L'amour corsaire". Some are stamp dated on verso: Feb.-Dec. 1953 and Feb. 1954.
