Rare celestial chart depicting the eccentric orbit of the sun around the earth according to Ptolemy. In the lower corners, two spheres clarifying the theory further. Numerous putti in the edges. Published in Cellarius' "Atlas Coelestis seu Harmonia Macrocosmica [...]" by Valk and Schenk in 1708. Engr. by Johannes van Loon. Numbered 16. Verso blank.
