4to: [151 (of 152)] ff., 34 ll. (last bl. missing; ink soiling on title, sm. marg. damp stains, some ff. sl. age-toned).
19th-c. half calf, marbled paper covers, gilt-ruled spine with raised bands, red spr. edges (sl. traces of use and one wormhole on spine, wormtrack on lower joint, long ms. note in French on front flyleaf).
Commentary on The Song of Songs followed with lessons on how to celebrate the Assumption by the theologian Honorius Augustodunensis (1080?-1154?), most probably originating from the south of Germany or from England. Text in 2 col. in Gothic type. Two ink initials and one space-guide letter in 2nd work.
