Revised and enlarged edition (1st 1590) of the works of S.-G. de La Roque (1551-1615), at the service of Henri d'Angoulême and of the Guise family. He also was a friend of the baroque poet Philippe Desportes and influenced François de Malherbe, another friend. Contains "Les amours de Phillis", "Les amours de Carithée", "Élégies", "La chaste bergère dédiée à Madame", "Oeuvres chrestiennes", etc. Nice edition printed in italics. Ref.
