Early 19th-c. polished calf signed Vogel (Paris), covers with double gilt frame and floral corner-pieces, gilt spine with raised bands and black leather title label, gilt sides & inside dentelles, a.e.g. (sl. rubbed). Nice copy.
Early reprint of the popular guide to Holland by de Parival (1605-1669) (1st Leiden 1651), corr. & enl. ed. by F.S. d'Alquié. Engr. ill.: front., 1 folding map of Holland, 13 folding pl. showing city plans (Leiden, Amsterdam (2), Haarlem, Delft, Dordrecht, Gouda, Rotterdam, The Hague, Alkmaar, Medenblik, Enkhuizen and Hoorn), and 1 full-page pl.
