2 parts in 1 vol., folio: [8], [4] pp.; 104 pl. (min. brown stains on pl. 73 (Esther and Ahasuerus), occ. normal toning or spotting).

Mod. half sheep signed G. Cawte & Son, marbled paper boards, flat spine (joints partly split, spine rubbed, corners bumped).

Collection of plates of Stackhouse's major work, complete with all 104 engravings: a portrait of the author by G. Vertue after I. Woolaston, 6 maps and 96 Biblical scenes, of which 5 folding, engr. by o.a. G. Van der Gucht, J. Hulett, E. Rooker, E. Kirkall, Cl. Du Bosc, etc., after o.a. G. Hoet, Ch. Le Brun, P. Veronese, M. Scheits, etc.
