First edition of this account of an early American voyage to Asia by lieutenant White (1782-1840), ascending the Dong Nai river to Saigon visiting Cochinchina, Vietnam, Batavia and the Philippines. Ill. with one map and 5 pl. showing trading vessels, a scene on the Dong Nai and the ceremonial galley of the viceroy.
