Mod. blind-decorated calf over wood with remains of original blind-stamped leather pasted on, mod. metal clasps and catches. Kept in a clamshell box. In all a good copy.

Second enlarged ed. (1st 1497) of an important chronicle history of Brabant from the Carolingian age to the 15th century. Jan van Doesborch took over the workshop of printer Roelant van den Dorpe and went on to produce new editions of several works, using van den Dorpe’s woodcuts and typographical materials, including the above (which was originally printed in 1497). Editions were printed by him in 1512, 1518 and 1530, each time expanded with auxillary material detailing recent events at the time. Large woodut arms of Brabant on title, a smaller one at the end. Numerous large and small(er) woodcuts in-text. Title printed in red and black. Printed in 2 col, in Gothic type. As in most copies missing the folding genealogical tree ("Boom", C1-6).
