Contemp. red velvet decorated with end 17th-c. large embossed silver ornaments incl. corners, two clasps and central oval cartouche with Queen of Heaven and Child Jesus on upper board, the Resurrection on the lower board, punches "IM" and "B", flat spine, a.e.g., seven mod. embroidered silk bookmarks with silvered metal ornaments (velvet sl. used, tear on upper endpaper). Nice copy.

Text on 2 col., printed in red and black, orn. with black in-text, printed liturgical music. The silver ornaments were made by the Antwerp workshop of Jan Moermans (initials "I" and "M" superimposed in a triangle) and dated 1670 (date letter crowned "B"). They were recovered from an earlier edition of the Missal.
