Engraving, 66,9 x 124,6 cm, laid paper, signed and dated "Jacobus Mathamius Goltzij privignus sculp. / Anno. 1592.", Latin text (flattened vert. and hor. folds, some split, few sm. tears, some spots, few sm. parts missing on platemark).

Good impression with margins. Laid down on cardboard. Framed.

Monumental engraving from 3 large plates. Impressive allegory of the path of life with numerous figures in the Northern Mannerist style. 1st state before the later address of Bernardus Kleynhens (1702-1779).
