8vo: [16]-360 (= 358)-[1 bl.] ff. (lacking final blank; sl. toned, some marg. spotting).
19th-c. gilt red morocco by Belz-Niedrée, covers with ruled rectangular frames and corner pieces, richly gilt spine on 5 raised bands, gilt sides, richly gilt inside dentelles, a.e.g. (over marbl. edges), marbl. endpapers, green silk marker. Very good copy.
Early edition (1st 1543) of the translation by A. Le Maçon (1500-1559) of the popular Decameron of Boccaccio (1313-1375), 1st publ. in French 1485 as "Livre de cent nouvelles".
