8vo: [220] ff. (toned, margins soiled and stained).
Cont. blind-stamped calf, covers with a central portrait (Charles V?) and a Cleopatra figure, spine on 4 raised bands with gilt label, marbl. endpapers (rebacked, rubbed, ties gone). Good copy.
Commentary on the Book of Revelation (Apocalypse) by the German Benedictine monk Haymo of Halberstadt (d. 853). Title with woodcut "Cleopatra" border. Louvain binding, with the binder’s mark in a shield above Cleopatra’s head, and a Louvain copy from Sint-Maartensdal, a priory of the Brethren of the Common Life (with the library’s monogram in the right corner), cp.
