Lge 4to: [8]-146-24-[1-1 bl.]-172-[3-1 bl.] pp. (toned, some min. spotting).

Contemp. overl. vellum, flat spine (old repair).

Humanist history of Antwerp by the jesuit rector Scribani (1561-1629), including a collection of Greek poems and prose text by Gillis Schoondonck. Engr. mark on both titles; woodcut mark at the end. 7 double-page engravings: 3 maps of Antwerp, diocese, Citadel, and 4 views of the Cathedral, Town Hall, Exchange and "Domus Teutonica" (Hessenhuis). Very good large paper copy (probably one of the "25 copies printed on paper of better quality ("Grand"), 10 of which were for the Antwerp Jesuit College" (STCV).
