Lot description

8vo: [32]-560 [= 564]-[44] pp. (light dampst. in corner of first ff., red stain on f. Pp8, marg. ann. in old hand).

Contemp. sheep, gilt-orn. and titled spine with raised bands, red edges (joints split, corners sl. bumped).

Popular medical aphorisms (1st 1709) of the famous Leiden professor Boerhaave (1668-1738). It deals i.a. with pathology and therapy. With an introduction by Carl Friedrich Kaltschmied (1706-1769), professor in anatomy and botany at the University of Jena. Title in red and black.
