Lot description
Drawing, brown ink wash with some black lines and white chalk, 21,4 x 11,8 cm, paper (cut around the subjects and pasted on soiled paper, dampstains, worn).
(1). Naked man, a leg in a laurel wreath and a book near the other foot.-- (2). Sleeping naked woman, near a carved animal head (contemp. inscript.: "Fran[ces]co Salviati"). Prov. Sir Thomas Lawrence (1769-1830), London painter (stamp, ref. Lugt 2445. - [Georges Petit].
