Copper engraving, c. 38,5 x 55 cm (visible part), uncol. (browning, splitt. c'fold rep.).
Under passe-partout and nice gilt wooden frame (not unframed). Good copy.
2nd plate from a series of 9 engravings engraved by Romeyn de Hooghe and published for the official entry into Brussels of Leopold I of Austria after defeating the Turks in 1686. This plate shows the festivities organised at the "Hotel Tour et Taxis" on the "Petit Sablon". Very attractive plate with the text below, featuring the people of Brussels enjoying the festivities.
