First and only very rare edition of the "Danse macabre" of Valvasor ill. with a front. and 120 engravings by Johann Koch after Holbein and Andreas Trost, each within a different border decorated with flowers and animals. Here in the title variant without "Cum" (VD17). The work is divided into 3 parts: "Der Toden-Tanz", "Underschiedliche Todts-Gattungen" and "Der Verdambten Höllen-Peyn/vorstellend". Text in Latin and German, printed in Gothic and roman. Title in red & black.
