Nice set of plates originating the original edition of a monumental work on butterflies published in instalments between 1906 and 1945 simultaneously in German, French and English. This set contains 545 chomolithographic plates in good condition representing several hundreds of butterflies covering the Palearctic, American, Indo-Australian and African faunas.
