First edition, first issue with author's name printed above the title, of Goethe's first published testimony of his scientific interests. It includes "Linnées Theorie von der Anticipation" (pp. 73-78), taken from the preface of Linnaeus' dissertation "De prolepsi plantarum". Enriched with a small "keepsake" issued by the editors of "Chronica Botanica" (Stockholm, 1950).
