Contemp. calf, titled spines with raised bands, gilt edges (lower joint part. split vol. 3, sl. rubbed).

First edition of this major work by the entomologist Olivier. The beautiful front. in the 1st vol. and all the 262 plates, engraved by Lebrecht Reinold and J. Audebert, are finely hand-coloured.
