4to: [40]-200-564 pp. (toned, some marginal dampstaining or min. spotting, tear in Zz4).

Contemp. overl. vellum, flat spine, remains of ties (spine darkened).

Voluminous (and now very rare) major philological ed. by Hugo Grotius (1583-1645) of the largest Greek anthology to survive antiquity, primarily gnomological and including both prose and verse. Grotius revised the text of earlier editions of Stobaeus (5th c.) and added his own verse and prose translations. Greek texts with facing Latin translation. Woodcut mark on title.
