5 vol., 4to: [14 incl. front.-portrait]-648-[12], [2]-565-[12], [6]-520-[12], [2]-522-[10], [2]-498-[14] pp.; 5 maps, 85 pl. (occ. spotting and soiling throughout, mostly marg., hole in title and first ff. restored in vol. 2, corner front flyleaf of vol. 4 restored, tears in p. 399 of vol. 5 restored).
Contemp. mottled calf, gilt-orn. spines with raised bands, red edges (some joints starting to split, some corners bumped).
Collected ed. of the two travels by De Bruyn in the Far East and Russia (1st transl. ed. 1700 for Levant, 1718 for Muscovy). Beautifully ill. with 1 portrait, 5 maps (4 fold.) and 85 pl. (12 fold.) depicting various views, monuments, e.g. pyramids, holy places, court of the Ottoman sultan, ruins of Persepolis (until then rarely depicted), costumes, fauna, flora, etc.
