Lot description
Various sizes, some with envelopes. Very good condition.
Correspondence written on personal stationery with Sargent’s address (31, Tite Street, Chelsea S.W.), where he had his studio. J.S. Sargent (1856-1925) was an American expatriate painter living in Europe (Florence, Paris, London), considered as the most successful portrait painter of his era. L. Fleury (1878-1926) was a French flautist, performing modern compositions written for him by e.g. Claude Debussy and Cyril Rootham, but he was also a pioneer in the rediscovery of forgotten Baroque flute compositions.
