"Je vous remercie de votre aimable envoi de mélodies. J'en ai choisi quelques-unes que je mets à mon répertoire [...]". E. Clément (1867-1928), French tenor, was a star of the Opéra-Comique in the Belle Époque. G. Huberti (1843-1910), Belgian composer, was i.a. professor of harmony at the Brussels Conservatory.
