Brussels, 10 July 1909

Bifolio, 8vo, with letterhead "Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles".

Fine condition.

The pianist and composer E. Tinel (1854-1912) was Director of the Brussels Conservatory. "C'est avec un bien vif plaisir que je vous fais part du brillant succès qu'ont remporté les élèves de Monsieur Huberti aux concours d'harmonie jugés hier [...]", with the list of laureates. Enriched with Huberti's daughter comments in an aut. s. note on the 2nd f.: "Cher parents, ci joint la lettre de Tinel [...]. On s'informe de la santé de père avec intérêt et tous regrettent amèrement son absence en ces joutes annuelles [...]". A musician herself, Elsa Huberti (1880-?) had been a pupil of Eugène Ysaÿe. G. Huberti (1843-1910), Belgian composer, was i.a. professor of harmony at the Brussels Conservatory.
