First edition of this account on the sieges of Flemish towns during the Austrian Succession War (1740-1748). The dedication to the Count of Argenson is signed Funck & D’Illens. Ill. with 25 fold. copper-engr.: 1 general map "Théâtre de la dernière guerre de Flandres" and 24 plans and maps, with various decorative cartouches, of Ypres, Ostend, Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Mons, etc. With nicely engr. head- and tailpieces.
