Most likely first edition of a partial and anonymous translation of "Belächerung der Statt Ostende" publ. in the same year. The work does not give the outcome of the siege as it finished 17th June. Two other Parisian editions were published in 1604, one by Olivier de Varennes and one by Adrian Beys, but the privilege was given to our editor, J. Perier. Illustrated with a large folding engr. plate showing Ostend, with his forts and positions.
